A Broken Frame is the title of the second studio album by British group Depeche Mode. It was released in September 1982 on Mute records, catalogue no. STUMM 9.
It was the group's first album since the departure of founder member Vince Clarke. New member Alan Wilder had been taken on board for live work after Clarke's departure although is not credited on the album. All songs were written by band member Martin Gore, and the album was produced by Daniel Miller with Depeche Mode.
The release of the album had been preceded by the singles See You, The Meaning of Love and Leave In Silence, all of which are included on the album (see Singles).

A Broken Frame was promoted via an extensive live tour of the UK and Europe in late 1982, and then into USA, Canada and the Far East in early 1983.[1]
NB An earlier tour in 1982 entitled the See You Tour had taken place between January and May 1982, prior to the album's release. These were the first shows to feature the four-man line-up of Andy Fletcher, Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Alan Wilder.[2]
The following limited edition 12" singles feature live recordings of A Broken Frame tracks:
- Get The Balance Right! - My Secret Garden, See You, Satellite
- Everything Counts - Nothing To Fear, The Meaning of Love
- Love In Itself - A Photograph of You.
