John Winston Lennon (b. 09 October 1940 d.08 December 1980 ) was a British singer-songwriter, musician, poet, recording artist, record producer, peace campaigner and political activist, known as a founder member of British group The Beatles, and as a solo recording artist from the end of the 1960s until his death.
