Sat In Your Lap 7

Sat In Your Lap is the title of a song written and recorded by Kate Bush and released as her ninth UK single on 21 June 1981. Although it was technically the 'lead single' from Bush's upcoming fourth studio album, The Dreaming was not released until some fifteen months later.

The single was Bush's first new material since her Never For Ever album, in 1980. It entered the UK charts at no.26 in the first week of July and reached a peak position of no.11 two weeks later, staying in the Top 40 for seven weeks.

The B side was a cover of the Donovan song Lord of the Reedy River.
