The Cure are a post-punk music group active since 1976. Often named as being the archetypical 'goth' group due to their dark musical and visual styles, they are also one of the longest-running groups of the modern pop era. Vocalist, musician and songwriter Robert Smith is one of the group's founding members and the only one still active after The Cure's various line-up changes.
